Is GentShot the same as the P-Shot?

Yes — same category of procedure. GentShot is GentsMed's brand name for penile platelet-rich plasma (PRP), also referred to clinically as intracavernosal PRP. Other clinics market the same procedure under the "P-Shot" or "Priapus Shot" trade name. We use the GentShot name because every provider in our network performs it under a consistent, network-wide PRP preparation and injection standard — not a free-form interpretation.

The honest answer: the evidence is genuinely mixed. Small observational studies and case series report patient-reported improvements in firmness and sensitivity. Larger placebo-controlled trials are sparse, and the International Society for Sexual Medicine has issued cautious guidance that PRP for ED remains investigational. A reasonable expectation: some men report meaningful improvement, others see no change, and we cannot reliably predict who will respond. It is not a substitute for established treatments in moderate-to-severe vasculogenic ED.

PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil, tadalafil) are pharmaceuticals you take before sex — they amplify the normal erection response on-demand. GentShot is a one-time procedure (with periodic repeats) aimed at improving baseline tissue function so erections work better overall. They are complementary, not competing. Many men do well combining a regular PDE5 protocol with periodic GentShot maintenance, and both classes target different aspects of the problem.
