Glutathione IV

  • IV therapy
  • Antioxidant

Glutathione is the body's primary intracellular antioxidant. IV glutathione bypasses oral absorption limits to deliver higher concentrations than supplementation can achieve. Used for antioxidant support, skin clarity, and recovery.

Benefits

What Glutathione IV can do for you.

  • Master antioxidant

Glutathione is the body's main intracellular antioxidant; IV delivery achieves higher plasma levels than oral.

  • Skin clarity support

Many men report improvements in skin tone and clarity over a series of infusions.

  • Detox support

Supports liver phase II detoxification pathways.

Glutathione is a tripeptide (cysteine + glycine + glutamic acid) that serves as the body's primary intracellular antioxidant and a key cofactor in phase-II liver detoxification pathways. Oral glutathione has poor bioavailability — it is broken down in the gut before reaching cells.3 IV glutathione delivers intact molecules directly to the bloodstream, raising serum and tissue concentrations more reliably.

How it works

Glutathione neutralizes reactive oxygen species (ROS), recycles other antioxidants like vitamin C and E, and supports the glutathione S-transferase pathway that conjugates and excretes lipid-soluble toxins. Endogenous production declines with age and is depleted under chronic stress, infection, or exposure to oxidants.

What the evidence supports — and does not

Glutathione has well-established roles in clinical medicine — N-acetylcysteine (a precursor) is the standard antidote for acetaminophen overdose, for example. IV glutathione has small-trial evidence in Parkinson's disease1, hepatic conditions2, and oxidative-stress states. Cosmetic and general-wellness applications (skin brightening, energy, recovery) are largely supported by patient-reported outcomes and case series rather than large RCTs.

Who it is for

Healthy adults seeking antioxidant support, recovery from intensive training, or as an adjunct to other wellness protocols. Often combined with vitamin C and B-complex in cocktail-style IVs. Not a treatment for any specific FDA-approved medical condition outside of established clinical applications.

What to expect

  • 30–60 minute IV; can be combined with other IV nutrients.
  • Common side effects: mild nausea, flushing, headache, transient pulmonary symptoms. Generally well-tolerated.
  • Acute brightening / energy effects often reported within 24 hours; cumulative effects develop over a series.
  • Typical protocols: 600–2000 mg per session, often weekly.

How it works

From consult to follow-up.

  1. Initial consultation

A board-certified physician reviews your symptoms, history, and goals. At many participating clinics the first visit is complimentary.

  2. Baseline labs

Bloodwork tailored to the protocol. Results come back in days, not weeks. We don't prescribe before we have your numbers.

  3. Personalized protocol

Your physician calibrates your dose based on your labs and your goals — not a template. Adjustments happen as your data evolves.

  4. Ongoing follow-up

Recheck visits at six and twelve weeks, then quarterly. Real follow-up, structured into the plan.

Designed around your schedule

  • Consults are short

Initial visits are typically 45–60 minutes. Many participating clinics waive the fee for new patients.

  • Telehealth follow-ups

Where state regulations allow, follow-up visits are conducted via telehealth — no extra drive time.

  • Medication shipped

Prescriptions ship directly from a 503B-licensed pharmacy to your door. No standing in line.

  • Quarterly check-ins

Real follow-up at six and twelve weeks, then quarterly. Not constant visits, not zero visits.

Did the IV series as part of a broader anti-aging plan. The provider was clear about what the evidence supports and what's still emerging. Appreciated the honesty.
